5-Fu 사용으로 인해 유발된 기질성 정신장매 1예

A Case of 5-Fu Induced Organic Mental Disorder

The authors experienced a case of 5 ᅳ Fu, an anticancer agent, induced organic mental disorder. A 37 year 一 old female patient was admitted to Soonchunhyang University Hospital on Apr. 30, 1985 because of personality change, emotional blunting, dementia, memory impairment, confabulation and abnormal behavior. Above sym toms were developed 3 months after receiving 5~Fu (5 -Fu : 500mg/2~3 times /week, carmoftir : 300 mg /day) for postoperative anticancer chemotherapy of cecal adenocarcinoma. So the prescribing of 5 -Fu was stopped, and about 4 months after stopping of 5 - Fu, the symptoms of organic mental disorder were subsided.
