脊髓損傷患者의 코오넬 醫學指數에 關한 硏究

A Study on the Cornell Medical Index of the Spinal Cord Injured Patients

From January to April 1984, this study was carried out by applying The Cornell Medical Index to the spinal cord injured patients in Korea Veterans Hospital for the purpose of the evaluation of mental health. The results were as follows: 1. The average number of complaints in. 3rd decade group was the lowest (19. 8) and that in 6th decade grop was the highest (31.1). 2. There were no significant differences in average number of complaints by educational level. 3. The average number of complaints in single group was the lowest (16.8) and that in devorced group was the highest (45.0). 4. The average number of complaints in annuity group(25.9) was larger than that in other group (19.8). 5. The average number of complaints in group with three kinds of complication was the highest (45.0) and that in group without complication was the lowest (16.0). 6. There were no significant differences in average number of complaints by duration of hospitalization. 7. The groups that the average number of complaints was above 30.0 were compulsive personality, schizoid personality, explosive personality. The average number of complaints in passive-aggressive personality was 13.7 and that in passivedependent personality was 14. 0. 8. In analysis of items, most frequent physical complaint was insonmia in 42 patients(80.8%) and mental complaint was depression in 30 patients (57.7%).
