입원환자의 정신과 자문례에 대한 고찰

An Evaluation on the Cases of Inpatients given Referal for Psychiatric Consultation

This study was done at the Busan National University Hospital during the period from January 1st 1977 to December 31 st 1980. A total of 317 in patients were given referal to psychiatric consultation. from non-psychiatric departments. The results were as follows. 1. The total referal was 1. 40% of a ll inpatients. The department of Neurosurgery was highest in referal ratio (3. 2% ). 2. Among the referals a majority of referals came: from the department of Internal Medicine (44.2% ) . 3. There was no significant difference in thedistribution between men and women. Age distribution was heavily concentrated between the ages of 20 to 30 years of age. 4. Most of the psychiatric consultation was given by Doctors (95.9% ). The main psychiatric symptom for which coasultation was given was somatic complaints in which laboratory studies could not find any organic disorder (24. 9%). 5. Depressive neurosis and Psychosomatic Disorder in inpatients refered from the department of Internal Medicine and Organic Brain Syndrome from the department of Neurosurgery were more frequent in diagnoses than those from other departments. 6. Among the inpatients recommended for consultation, recommendation of the liaison therapy and transfer were more significantly accepted than other recommendations. 7. Among the inpatients transferee! from nonpsychiatric departments the most common patient was psychotic (76%). 8. Patient’s attitude towards refered psychiatric consultation revealed a positive attitude from 43. 8% of the patients and a negative attitude from 28.1%. Patients who refused consultation equaled 17.
