Assesment of Suicidal Intentionality with Risk-Rescue Rating

The authors intended to evaluate the suicidal intentiona lity of suicide attempters more objecti- vely with risk-rescue rating. We studied 100 suicide attempters that were randomly sampled from those who visited H an Gang Sacred Heart Hospital due to suicidal attempt from March 1st. 1981 to Aug. 31th. 1982. The risk-rescue rating revealed higher scores in the fifth decade and the male group. The rating also revealed higher scores in the divorced and second attempt group. The group that attempted suicide at late evening and early morning revealed higher scores than others. Middle and High school graduates showed relatively higher scores and those with schizophrenia and depression also re- vealed higher scores.
