The data were analyzed by incidence and types of delin quency , economic status, parental loss , physical condition, occupation and educational background of their parents as well as their opinion tow ard their parents and delinquent behavior. For the evaluation of the psychological status, the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory was applied. The results obtained could be summarized as follows ; 1) Frequencies of delin quent students were 9. 63 percent in boys ’ middle school, 6.45 percent in girls, middle school, 17.18 percent in boys’ high school, 8.46 percent in girls’ high school and 10. 32 percent in average. 2) Frequency of runaways was significantly higher in the only child. 3) Among the runaways and the criminals, parental loss, poor economic status, poor physical condition of the parents were more frequent. 4) In terms of the occupation of the parents of the runaways and criminals, fathers were more frequently fammers, sailors or unemployed, while mothers were less frequently home keepers. 5) The delinquent groups had experienced more emotional discontentment toward the parents. This was highly significant among the runaways and criminals. 6) The striking contrast was that students delin quents tended to blame the socio-environmental factors as the cause of their delinquent behaviors, while the runaways and criminals indicated the problems within the family. 7) Self reports of the delinquents indicated that their behaviors had been more influenced by their peer group, while those of the non-delinquent students showed that their behaviors had been more influenced by their parents. 8) Delinquents had a strong tendency of viewing their future with sense of uncertainty and hopelessness. 9) The results of the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory showed; (1) All delinquents had higher T -score of Pd, Pa, Sc and Ma scales.
