成形外科 患者의 精神科的 問題에 關한 考察

A STUDY ON THE MENTAL PROBLEMS OF PLASTIC SURGERY PATIENTS

Author had studied about 19 Psychiatric and 287 Plastic surgery outpatients. From which body image and several mental problems were researched. Result had been obtained as follows: 1. The motives toward operation from the plastic surgery patients were cosm etic(57.2% )t dissatisfication in th e shape & feeling of body image (22.3% ), scar & deformity (1 6 .0%) and others. 2. The attitudes of outcome in the plastic surgery outpatients, satisfied cases were 75.3% and others were revealed by dissatisfication, in variable, argue and reoperation. 3. Facial area occupied 88. 5% and eyelids occupied 50.9% as a whole in distribution of body sites of operation in plastic surg ery pt. 4. Separation, separation by death and divorces were occupied 5. b% in plastic surgery patients. T he reasons for operation were superstition, others advice and better facial appearance. 5. Psychiatricpt. were evaluated as follows :Those who asserted that mental illness was followed after operation. :Those who attem ped or committed operation during psychiatric treatment. . Those who visited psychiatric clinic after self injury.
