음악과 집중이수제의 실시와 폐지에 관한 교사와 학생들의 인식조사 연구

Teachers` and Students` Perception about Focused Learning Policy of Music

본 연구의 목적은 음악과목을 중심으로 집중이수제 실시와 폐지에 따른 각 학교의 운영실태와 교사들과 학생들의 인식을 조사하는데 있다. 교사들의 인식에 대한 조사는 설문지와 인터뷰를 통하여 실시하였다. 중등 교사 172명과 집중이수제를 경험한 학생 1522명이이 연구에 참여하였다. 그리고 교사 27명이 인터뷰에 참여하였다. 이에 대한 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대부분의 교사들은 집중이수제를 반대하고 있었으며, 집중이수제가 장점보다는 단점이 훨씬 많은 것으로 인식하고 있었다. 둘째, 교사들이 생각하는 가장 큰 문제는 교사수급과 학생 음악학습의 단절, 그리고 전학생의 문제라고 인식하고 있었다. 셋째, 집중이수제의 실시로 교사들은 평소에 하지 못했던 여러 가지 다양한 음악활동을 하였으며 그 효과도 있었다고 믿고 있었다. 넷째, 학생들도 집중이수제의 효과에 대해선 회의적이었다.

The purpose of this study is to survey the current state of focused learning policy of music and teachers` and students` perception for it. The teachers` perception was obtained through questionnaire and interviews. 172 junior highschool and highschool teachers and 1522 students who experienced this policy participated in the study. 27 teachers were interviewed. The following conclusions are reached. First, most teachers are against this policy, and think that it has more disadvantages than advantages. Second, they think that the most serious problems with this policy are the problem of teacher supply and transferred students. Third, they think that this policy enabled them to try various musical activities, and in this respect has some merits. Fourth, students were doubtful about the effectiveness of this policy.
