청소년들의 클래식음악에 대한 인식도 조사연구

A Study on the Youths` Recognition About the Classic Music

본 연구는 청소년들의 클래식음악에 대한 인식도에 대한 전반적인 사항들을 살펴보고, 그것을 토대로 하여 청소년들에게 클래식음악을 활성화시키고 이해시키는데 있어 기초적인 자료를 제공하고자 의도되었다. 서울에 위치하고 있는 중, 고등학교 학생 364명에 대해 설문지를 통한 조사연구를 수행하였으며, 수집된 자료를 기초로 SPSS WIN ver. 18.0을 이용하여 빈도분석, 교차분석을 실시하였다. 분석을 통해 도출된 주요결과로 청소년들의 관심음악은 ‘대중음악’, 클래식음악경험은 ‘악기레슨’, 클래식악기 연주경험은 ‘있다’, 경험악기로는 ‘피아노’의 응답이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 연주회 관람경험은 ‘경험없음’이 많았고, 관람동기는 ‘부모님이 추천해서’, 관람장르는 중학생은 ‘오케스트라 연주회’, 고등학생은 ‘독주회 혹은 독창회’가 많은 응답률을 나타냈다. 클래식 음악 감상방법은 ‘인터넷으로’, 감상시간은 ‘하루 30분 미만’, 감상시기는 ‘쉴때’, 클래식 감상이유로는 ‘마음에 안정을 준다’, 인식은 ‘정서순화에 도움을 주는 음악’이 대체적으로 높은 응답률을 보였다. 클래식음악 필요성으로는 인격 형성, 정서순화 및 감성교육, 삶의질등 문항 모두 ‘보통이다’ 이상의 응답률을 나타냈다.

This study aims to examine the general characteristics of youths` recognition of Western music and to provide the basis for the ways of promoting the listening to and understanding of Western music among young people. To this end, a survey was conducted among 364 students at middle and high schools located in Seoul.. The collected data was analyzed with such methods as frequency analysis in application of SPSS WIN ver. 18.0, chi square test. The major findings of the analysis are as follows: First, 80% of the respondents stated that they experienced musical education. The experience of musical education included musical instrument lessons, musical theory lessons, vocal music lessons, and composition lessons in the order. About 80% of the respondents replied that they were interested in music. The genres of music included pop music and Western music in the order. Second, as a result of analyzing the reasons of listening to Western music and going to concerts depending on the gender and school years, it turned out that as for gender, there was significant difference among groups regarding the motivation of going to concerts only. As for school years, significant difference was found among groups regarding the reasons of listening to Western music, experience of going to concerts, motivation of going to concerts, and genres of concerts. Third, as a result of analyzing the experiences of playing the Western music instruments and desired musical instruments depending on the gender and school years, it turned out that as for gender, significant different was found regarding experience of performance, motivation of performance, instruments that were performed, whether there was a specially desired instrument, and desired instrument items. As for the school years of middle and high schools, significant difference was found only regarding the experience of performance. Fourth, as a result of analyzing the difference in appreciation of Western music between genders and among school years regarding, it turned out that there was significant difference regarding feelings and recognition of Western music after appreciation. As for school years of middle and high schools, significant difference was found regarding the ways and times of appreciation. Fifth, as a result of analyzing the difference in recognized necessity of Western music depending on the gender and school years, it turned out that there was significant difference between genders regarding the recognized necessity of Western music while no significant difference was found among different school years of middle and high schools.
