낮병원 입원 환자에 대한 임상적 고찰

A STUDY OF PSYCHIATRIC PATIENTS IN A DAY HOSPITAL

Day Hospital has been established as a way of solution to the Problems of chronically ill patients who need long standing hospitalization. The Day Hospital in National Mental Hospital Started on May 10, 1S76 and has been running up to now for the purpose of facilitating social adaptation of the patients and reducing the economic burden. This study was performed to evaluate Day Hospital patients in the National Mental Hospital. Materials were comprised of 84 patients who were admitted to Day Hospital from May 10, 1976 to. Dec. 31, 1977. Results were made as follow s: 1. Among 84 cases it consisted of 53 males and 31 females, and the age ranged from 14 to 52 years. 2. By diagnostic classification, 51, schizophrenics, 8 manic depressive psychotics, 8 neurotics, 6. alcoholics and 11 others were found. 3. In respect of attitude in ward life, 59 cases, were active and cooperative, 21 cases were passive and uncooporative, and 4 cases were destructive. Among them, all the alcoholics and the patientsof transient situational disturbance revealed as active and cooperative. Destructive patients were found in schizophrenia and paranoia. 4. There was no significant relationship between follow up treatment, dignosis and attitude in ward life.
