Idea of Jealousy에 대한 臨床的 考察

CLINICAL STUDY ON IDEA OF JEALOUSY

The author performed a study of 52 patients with idea of jealousy who were treated in the department of neuropsychiatry of Korea university hospital during the period from the beginning of J n a . 1974 until the end of Aug 1977. The summary of results were as follows, 1. Females outnumbered males by a ratio of 36 to 16. 2. As tot their age distribution, those in fourth decade of life occupied 67.3% (35 patients) of all. 3. They seemed to have higher educatonal background than other psychotic groups. 4. As the object of idea of jealousy, obscure persons were the most, frequent ones (29 patients, 55.8%) 5. As to the precipitating factors, misinterpretation of spouses’ casual behavioral or attidudinal changes was the most frequent one occupying 48.1% (25 cases). These misinterpretations were interpreted as the results of their own feeling of inadequacy, low selfesteem and ambivalence 6. Their conjugal relationships revealed that more than half of them were female domineering pairs and more than half of them expressed sexual dissatisfaction with their spouses. 7. premorbid personality of most of the cases were of the schizoid (50.0%) and paranoid (25.0%), and those of the female cases were of paranoid (33.3%) and hysterical (27.8%). 8. For the male patients paranoid schizophrenia was the most frequent diagnosis (50.0%) followed by paranoia (25.0%), involutional depression (12.5%) and alcoholism (6.3%). For the females the most frequent diagnosis was paranoia (33.3%), followed by hysterical neurosis (27.8%), paranoid schizophrenia (16.7%), and involutional depression (11.1%).
