클래스 피아노 운영을 통한 음악학습 능력과 교과학습 성취도 간의 상관관계

The Correlation between the Music Learning and the Academic Achievement through the Class Piano Curriculum

본 연구는 고등학교 학생들의 피아노 학습이 음악학습 능력 및 비음악적 학습능력 발달에 미치는 영향 탐색을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위하여 서울시 강북구 미아동 소재 S 고등학교 1학년 346명을 대상으로 음악학습과 타 교과 간 학업성취도의 상관관계를 조사하였다. 연구결과 학생들의 피아노 학습기간, 피아노 전체 연주성적, 국어, 수학, 영어 모의고사 성적 간에 모두 유의미한 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 영어교과의 성적은 피아노 학습과 가장 높은 유의미한 관계를 나타냈다. 따라서 고등학교 학생들의 음악 및 타 교과 간 학습 성취도의 긍정적 효과를 위하여, 고등학교 음악교육의 지속적인 지원과 확대가 필요하겠다.

In general, musical abilities are reported to improve other intelligence such as spatial, temporal learning skills as well as independent intelligence work by itself. The purpose of this research is to investigate the correlation between the music learning and the academic achievement for 346 high school students through Class Piano curriculum located in Seoul area. The results is reported as follows: Seeking for the correlation between the piano playing achievement and academic achievements, there was a significant relationship between the musical and the academical relationship. Especially English test scores showed significant relationship between its score and the piano learning period.
