기질성 편집증 증상을 보이는 HIV 감염환자 1례

A Case of Organic Paranoid Syndrome in a HIV Infected Male

This 36 years old unmarried male emigrated to USA in 1981. 6 years ago, he underwent partial gastrectomy in Los Angeles during which he received HIV contaminated blood transfusion. About 2 years later he began to develop symptoms o f agitation, personality change, short term memory defects and persecutary delusion. He escaped from U.S.A. to Korea to run away from his presumed killers on Oct 1991. Until now, signs of AIDS or ARC are not noted. Both HIV antibody test and Western blot test are positive. He denies any history of psychiatric illness.
