측두엽 손상후 발생된 단기 순환형 정동장애 1례

A Case of Rapid Cycling Affective Disorder after the Damage of Temporal Lobe

Authors reported a case of rapid cycling affective disorder (RCAD ) developed after the damage of temporal lobe by traffic accident. Patient showed sharp transients on bilateral temporal area of nasopharyngeal E E G and a significant decrease of blood flow o f left temporal area on SPECT. The kindling desensitization in the trmporal lobe and limbic system has been accepted as the most probable hypothesis in development of RCAD . In our case, same pathophysiology was thought to play a causative role in development of RCAD .
