Diet-control has had an important role in cases of overweight syndrome and obesity, but in the most of the cases diet-control hasn``t been successful. In view of oriental medicine, those were regarded as deficiency syndrome. Recently I experienced a 41 years old woman who had arthralgia with overweight and whose condition was improved through Lizhong-tang used insufficiency of the spleen-yang.
