이 연구는 고등학교 ‘음악과 생활’ 교과서 10종의 아시아 문화권의 음악을 교육과정의 다문화 음악교육의 연구 영역에 따라 분석해 보고 그 적절성을 살펴보는 데에 목적이 있다. 연구 방법으로, 첫째, 10종 교과서에 제시된 아시아지역의 민요와 음악을 각 나라별로 분류한다. 둘째, 교과서의 아시아 지역의 민요를 다루고 있는 단원의 학습목표를 중심으로 다문화 내용요소의 반영 여부를 알아본다. 셋째, 다문화 음악교육의 연구 영역으로 민경훈(2009)의 연구 영역을 조사하여 개정 음악과 교육과정과 부합되는 내용으로 교과서를 분석한다. 연구결과 첫째, 다문화 음악교육의 연구 영역 중 역사 및 사회적 영역과 정치적 영역의 교육이 부족하다. 둘째, 지역, 학습활동, 음악 종류와 장르의 다양성이 부족하다. 셋째, 학습목표가 구체적으로 제시되지 않았다. 적절하고 효율적인 다문화 음악교육을 위해서는 교육적, 문화적 연구 영역뿐만 아니라 역사 및 사회적 영역과 정치적 영역의 교육이 필요하다. 음악 교육 자료를 통한 다양한 지도방법의 개발, 다양한 제재곡의 선정, 다른 예술과목과의 융합 활동 형태로 바꾸어 표현하는 학습활동에 대한 개발이 이루어져야 한다. 고등학교 ‘음악과 생활’ 교과서에 아시아 지역의 전통 민요, 종교 음악, 대중가요 등 다양한 장르의 아시아 음악을 편중되지 않은 나라의 제재곡으로 수록할 수 있는 방법의 연구도 이루어져야 할 것이다.
The purpose of this study is to find appropriateness after analyzing Asian multicultural music in 10 kinds of high school textbook ‘Music and Life’. As the research method, first, asian music and folk song from 10 kinds of textbook were classified by country. Second, multicultural elements suggested in learning objective were investigated. Third, multicultural music education curriculum was used as a criteria. The following results are found. First, there was a lack of studies related to historical, social, and political fields. Second, there was a lack of various areas, learning activity, and kinds and genres of music. Third, there is no specific learning objective. The studies related politics and society are needed as well as educational and cultural studies for proper and effective multicultural music education. Various teaching methods should be developed by music education materials, and more various music should be selected. In addition, integrated curriculum with other art subjects is needed for learning activities. It is time to study about how we can contain more diverse of Asian music and various music genres including folk music, religion music, popular music etc. in music textbooks.
