미국의학교파트너십을위한지역사회 음악교육단체사례분석

An analysis of local music education communities for school partnership in United States: Implications for strategies to activate arts education for schools

본 논문에서는 미국의 여러 지역의 문화예술단체들 중 음악 중심의 학교 파트너십 교육 사업들을 조사하고 분석하였다. 특별히 오케스트라 및 뮤지컬 분야의 문화예술교육 지원사업을 주목하여 살펴보고, 이를 통해 학교의 문화예술교육을 보다 활성화할 수 있는 방안을 모색하며, 한국 사회에 적용 가능한 시사점들을 제기하고자 한다. 본 연구는 문헌 연구방법을 활용하여 미국의 오케스트라 5개 프로그램, 뮤지컬 4개 프로그램, 총 9개의 프로그램을 대상으로 하였다. 분석결과를 바탕으로 한 학교문화예술교육 활성화를 위한 시사점은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학생들의 풍요로운 삶을 위한 다양한 교육목표가 설정되어야 하며, 둘째, 문화예술단체, 교사, 예술가 및 지역사회와의 효과적인 파트너십이 이루어져야 하며, 셋째, 예산 원천이 다양한 각도로 확보되어야 하고, 넷째, 21세기 인재양성을 위한 전문성을 갖춘 다양한 교육과정이 개발되어야 할 필요가 있다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate music education programs of local communities for school partnership in United States. Especially, orchestra and musical programs were focused, and implications to activate arts education for schools in Korea were found. This study mainly used literature review method, and the subjects were nine programs including five orchestra programs and four musical programs. Implications were as follows. First, it is necessary to set up various educational objectives to enrich students’ lives, second, effective partnership among arts education communities, teachers, artists, and local communities needs to be established, third, various funding resources should be considered, and fourth, curriculum with diversity and professionalism should be developed to cultivate humans for 21st century.
