예비교사들을 위한 시창·청음 교육에 관한 인식 조사

A Study on Music Teachers’ Perceptions of Preservice Music Teacher Education of Sight Singing and Ear Training

본 연구는 예비음악교사들을 위한 시창·청음 교육의 필요성, 내용, 방법, 그리고 방향에 관한 인식을 조사하는데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 전국의 10개 사범대학 음악교육과 시창·청음 교육의 현황과 선행 연구 분석을 통해 본 연구를 위한 기초 설문을 설계하였고, 전문가 3명의 검토를 거쳐 수정 후, 최종 설문지를 개발하였다. 현재 예비음악교사들은 교사자격 양성기관에서 제시하고 있는 시창·청음 교육의 방향을 비판적 사고 없이 따라가고 있을 수 있다는 판단 하에, 조사 대상을 현직 음악 교사로 정하였고, 2016년 열린 1급정교사 자격연수 과정에 참가한 총 101명의 음악 교사들에게 설문조사를 실시하였다. 총 84장의 설문지가 수거되어 83%의 수거율을 보였고, 통계 처리 프로그램을 사용하여 결과에 대해 빈도분석과 교차분석(x2)을 실시하였다. 설문 결과를 토대로 예비음악교사들을 위한 시창 · 청음 교육의 필요성, 내용, 방법에 대한 실태 분석과 인식, 그리고 실천적 방향을 모색하여 제시하였다. 본 연구 결과를 통하여 예비음악교사들을 위한 다양하고 효율적인 시창·청음 교육의 교수법과 교재가 개발되어야 하고, 다른 음악과목과 연계한 시창·청음 교육이 이루어져야 하며, 시창과 청음의 통합 교육이 필요하다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

Sight singing and ear training are ones of the core preservice music teacher education courses and are regarded as fundamental competency. The purpose of this research is to investigate music teachers’ perceptions towards the need, contents, and methods of sight singing and ear training as preservice music teachers education. The draft of questionnaire was first developed for the research, reviewed by three experts, revised a few times, and the questionnaire was completed, divided into three categories, the need, contents, and methods of sight singing and ear training. A total 101 questionnaires were distributed out to music teachers for the survey, and 84 were returned back. Numerical data were stored using SPSS software. Analysis of the questionnaire data revealed that high rate of those questioned agreed sight singing and ear training education as preservice teachers education courses were crucial. The current contents and methods of sight singing and ear training were not highly satisfied by those questioned. As a result, three suggestions are proposed. First, effective teaching methods and teaching materials need to be developed and improved. Second, education of sight singing and ear training is required to be conducted with other music courses. Third, sight singing and ear training need to be combined for integrated music curriculum.
