최근 우리 사회의 변화로서 기업의 문화예술 지원은 활성화되고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 향후 우리나라의 문화예술정책 수립과 실행에 실질적인 도움을 줄 만한 자료를 제공하고자 우리나라 기업의 문화예술지원 내용을 조사 분석함으로써 지원의 실태와 특징을 고찰하는 것이다. 연구방법은 내용 분석으로서 ‘기업’과 ‘문화예술’을 주제어로 하는 자료를 온라인 검색하고 유관기관의 홈페이지를 방문하여 기관의 문화예술지원의 시기, 내용, 방법, 대상자 및 지원의 유형과 전략을 분석하였다. 연구 결과 우리나라 기업의 문화예술지원은 1960년대 시작되어 90년대 이후 꾸준히 활성화되고 있는 점, 음악사업 지원이 많다는 점, 초등학생 이상을 중점적 지원 대상으로 한다는 점, 그리고 지원 유형으로는 문화후원 유형이 대표적이고 지원 전략으로는 사회공헌 전략과 경영 전략이 일반적이라는 점이 밝혀졌다.
The purpose of this research was to analyse the data of the websites of the Korean companies that support culture and arts-related events and education. The list of the culture and art supporting companies was found from the review of related research materials searched on-line, with key-words of industry or culture and arts . Eight cultural foundations managed by conglomerates companies and three smaller companies were selected and their culture and art supports were analyzed according to the contents, attendants ages, typical types and strategies in the process of supporting and the subjects like music, ballet or film etc. Results are as follows; First, culture and arts supports were provided since 1960 s by the presentative Korean companies and their supports became active as time passed. Second, culture and arts supports were provided to the low incomer, multi cultural families, and as well as ordinary people except young children under the age of five. Third, music was the mostly supported art form compared to other forms like dance, drama, film and so forth. Last, the most companies utilized so-called culture support type in general out of culture investment, culture communication and culture business types and they prefer to use the social contribution strategy and management strategy rather than marketing strategy. In conclusion, this research implies the necessity of cooperation between Government and private companies so as to escalate ordinary peoples life quality through cultural as well as artistic experience. And there is a need to extend provision of cultural chances to young children and to extend the scope of cultural benefits not only in music but also in other art areas.
