현행 음악대학 건반화성 수업의 문제점 진단을 통한 학습효과 극대화를 위한 방안

Suggestions for Maximizing Learning Effect in the Keyboard Harmony by Examining Problems of Current Keyboard Harmony Class

본 연구는 현행 음악대학 교과과정의 하나인 건반화성 수업의 문제점 진단을 통해 건반화성 교육의 방향을 재설정하고, 수업에서 학습한 이론적 지식의 실제 음악에의 구체적 적용 방법 제시를 통해 보다 높은 학습 효과를 창출할 수 있는 방안을 모색하고자 하는데 그 취지가 있다. 건반화성은 다른 이론 과목과는 달리 음악적 소리의 체험과 응용을 통해 실제 음악에서 활용되어 질 수 있는 보다 실질적인 지식과 기술을 학습할 수 있는 수업이다. 그럼에도 불구하고 대부분의 학생들이 건반화성 수업을 다른 이론 과목보다 더 어렵게 느끼며, 과목의 필요성과 수업에서 학습한 이론적 지식의 실제 음악에서 활용 가능성에 대해 의문을 갖는다. 본 연구는 이러한 문제점을 인식하여 건반화성이 전필과목으로 지정되어 있는 피아노 전공 수업을 대상으로 하여 교재의 내용과 수업 운영 방식 면, 환경면에서의 문제점을 분석하였다. 그리고 이론적 지식의 연주에의 적용을 통해 실제 음악에서의 활용방법을 모색하였으며 이를 바탕으로 보다 높은 학습효과를 창출할 수 있는 3단계의 실질적인 교수방법을 제시하였다. 본 연구는 향후 음악이론교육에서 이론적 지식의 실제 음악에서의 활용을 기초로 한 다양한 교수방법 개발을 촉진시키는 역할을 하였다는데 그 의의를 둔다.

The purpose of the paper is to maximize learning effect and to seek for goal directed education by examining specific ways of applying theoretical knowledge taken from the class into real music. The paper aims at reestablishing directions of Keyboard Harmony class, one of the current music curriculum, through the diagnosis of problems in the Keyboard Harmony. Unlike the other classes, Keyboard Harmony is one of the classes to provide instructions on more useful knowledge and skills that can be used in real music by experiencing musical sounds in various ways. However, most students feel that Keyboard Harmony is more difficult than any other theory classes, and doubt the necessity of taking Keyboard Harmony class because they raise questions on how theoretical knowledge learned from the class can be applied into real music. The research recognized these issues and analyzed those problems by targeting piano major students. The examination was made based on the following three aspects: teaching materials; class management styles; and environmental circumstances. Furthermore, the research found ways to be used in real music by applying theoretical knowledge into the performance, and proposed three-steps of teaching methods which can create much higher learning effect. This research has significance because it is expected to carry out an important role of precipitating the development of various teaching methods in the music theory education by utilizing theoretical knowledge in real music.
