Effects of Student Orchestra Project on Students’ Personality

이 연구의 목적은 학생오케스트라 사업이 학생의 인성에 끼친 영향을 확인하는 것이다. 이를 위해 학생오케스트라 사업에 대한 학생과 학부모의 인성에 관한 각 항목별(자주성, 자존감, 근면성, 책임감, 준법성, 배려심, 협동심) 응답과 오케스트라 활동의 만족도를 조사하고, 이를 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 학생과 학부모 모두에게서 학생오케스트라 활동이 인성에 긍정적인 영향을 주는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 특히 자존감 형성과 준법성, 배려심, 협동심 등 사회성 향상에 효과가 높은 것으로 나타났으며, 이중 자존감은 학생이 4.38점, 학부모가 4.31점으로 다른 요인에 비해 월등히 높은 점수를 보인다. 또한 학부모가 학생보다 학교 오케스트라 활동의 효과에 대해 더욱 긍정적으로 인식하고 있는 것으로 나타났다.

The purpose of this study is to check the influence of Student Orchestra Project on students’personality. For this purpose, the study investigated and analyzed the responses from students and parents regarding the effects of Student Orchestra Project on personality in each item (autonomy, self-respect, diligence, responsibility, lawfulness, and collaboration), and the level of student-parent satisfaction. As a result, both students and parents perceived that school orchestra activities had positive impacts on students personality. They especially perceived higher effects of such activities on sociality including lawfulness, consideration, and collaboration as well as self-respect. Parents showed more positive perceptions of the effects of school orchestra activities than students.
