일반 보통 교육의 국악 교육을 위해 공교육의 음악 수업은 중요한 역할을 담당하고 있다. 공교육에서 사용하는 교재가 교과서이고, 이 교과서에 어떤 악보로 국악이 어떻게 소개되는지를 살펴봄으로써 일반 보통 교육으로써의 국악교육을 점검해 볼 수 있다. 이에 본 연구자는 중학교 음악 교과서에 수록된 국악 가창곡 중 제 1차 교육과정부터 현(現)2007 개정 교육과정까지 중학교 음악 교과서에 가장 많이 수록된 ‘한오백년’의 악보가 어떻게 수록되었는지를 살펴보고, 그 변화를 지역, 장단, 가창방법, 가락 등의 기준에 의해 분석하였다. 전(全) 교육과정에서 39권의 교과서에 수록된 ‘한오백년’의 악보를 교육과정에 따라 분석해 보니 지역은 ‘한국 민요’나 ‘우리나라 민요’처럼 국가적인 범위로 표기되다가 ‘강원도 민요’처럼 지역적인 범위로 표기되었다. 장단은 세마치에서 중모리장단으로 바뀌었고, 더불어 장단에 따른 박자이 세마치장단은 3/4에서 9/8로 바뀌었고, 중모리장단은 12/4로 기보되었다. 가창 방법은 합창에서 메기고받는소리로 수록되었다. 가락은 제 1차 교육과정에 처음 수록된 악보의 가락을 기초로 하고 있으며, 제 7차 교육과정 때부터 실제 민요 부르는 사람의 가락이 첨가되어 가락의 시김새 표현이 풍부해지는 경향을 보였다.
Music class in public education plays a key role for general education of Korean traditional music. Study of the music score and the way to introduce it in textbook, which is used in public education, can explain the present of general education in terms of Korean traditional music. Therefore, by considering the song ‘Hanobaeknyeon’ contained most in middle school textbook among other traditional songs from the first curriculum, a start of public education, to the current revised curriculum in 2007, its change was analyzed according to region, rhythm, signing way, melody and so on. According to the analysis of ‘Hanobaeknyeon’ score contained in 39 text books through entire curriculums, in terms of region, it used to be categorized by nation such as ‘Korean traditional song’ or ‘Folk song of our country’ and afterward was changed by district like ‘Folk song of Gangwon province.’ The rhythm was changed from Semachijangdan to Jungmorijangdan and the beat was changed from 3/4 to 9/8in case of Semachi and 12/4 in Jungmori. The singing way used to be recorded as choir, but now as a leading and joining style. With respect to melody, expression of Sigimsae has tended to be richer as adding the melody of actual singing from the 7th curriculum based on the melody contained in the first curriculum.
