음악 테크놀로지 기반 통합교과 프로그램 개발 및 적용

A Study on the Development and Implementation of a Music-Technology-based Interdisciplinary Class: A Case in an After-School Class of an Elementary School

본 연구는 음악 테크놀로지를 기반으로 음악 교육의 새로운 접근방법을 개발하고 적용하는데 목표를 두었다. 본 연구에 있어서 적용되어진 새로운 접근법은 첫째, 통합적 접근의 원리로서, 음악교육의 내용체계(활동․이해․생활화)의 통합 및 음악외의 다양한 교과목들과의 통합을 적용하였으며, 둘째, 음악테크놀러지를 수업활동의 중심적 도구로서 활용하였다. 이러한 목표에 따라 본 연구에서는 첫째, 음악 테크놀로지 기반 통합교과 프로그램을 개발, 적용하고; 둘째, 이를 통해 학생들의 음악에 대한 흥미와 관심을 함양시켜, 궁극적으로 음악의 일상화 및 생활화에 긍정적인 변화를 갖고 올 수 있는 지를 탐색해 보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 경기도 소재 한 초등학교의 방과후학교 수업에 본 연구에서 개발한 프로그램을 3개월간 8차시(각 차시 80분)에 걸쳐 적용했으며, 그 결과는 다양한 평가 방법(설문조사, 마인드맵, 인터뷰)을 통해 분석, 제시하였다. 그 결과로서는 음악 테크놀로지 기반 통합교과 수업 프로그램은 학생들의 음악 전반에 대한 이해를 넓혀주고 음악의 생활화에 대한 인식의 변화를 갖고 오는데 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

This study aimed to develop a new approach to music education in accordance with the socio-educational trends for post-modern values and IT mediated learning. The new approach in this study attempted, first, to utilize the principles of convergence both of the subcategories of music education (expression, understanding, and music in daily life) and of various subjects other than music, and secondly, to apply diverse digital technologies. The research question of this study was 1) to develop the music technology-based interdisciplinary class reflecting the above design principles, and 2) to examine how the students of the class has been changed in terms of their attitude, understanding, and appreciation toward music. And for the second research question, several methods to collect and analyze data have been applied to the study: survey, concept mapping, and depth interview with the students. After implementing 8 classes (80minutes per class) to an after-school program of an elementary school in GyeongGi-Do for three months, the results showed very positive changes of the students in the depth and breadth of their music understanding, expression, and appreciation in their lives.
