디지털 미디어의 발전과 한국 음악 산업의 경향에 관한 연구

A Study on a Development of Digital Media and a Tendency of the Korean Music Industry - Focused on Major Issues of the Digital Music Industry -

The digital media era which can be called the revolution considerably changed even the Korean popular music industry. Rapidly-developing media has owned a capability of changing the structure of the popular music industry as it has very big ripple effect on the Korean popular music. In terms of the influence and the ripple effect on the popular music, it seems to be urgent to analyze the digital technology and to make all policies and strategies based on it for the development of the Korean popular music industry. Being the major cause of the Korean popular music industry s depression, P2P system changed the personal contents into the concept of co-ownership from the concept of the possession online because of the media development. MP3 player improved the simplification and the easiness to carry and store the contents, but it provided the convenience of illegal reproduction simultaneously. Accordingly, it made the mass of people lose a meaning of the purchase and collection. Also, in the situation that telecom companies has filtered into the music market, the root of the popular music industry, the mobile affects the disc sales promotion as well as the music show performance when the music s popularity is verified through a phone bell sound and coloring download ranking. By recognizing such the problem, this study is intended to analyze the effect and the tendency of the Internet download, MP3, P2P system and the mobile generated by the digital technology on the production and the distribution structure of the Korean popular music industry in terms of the digital industry and the music industry, and to find out the promotion plans of the Korean popular music industry. Also, in this study, a prospect of the Korean popular music industry was examined through analyzing the state, major issues and problems of the Korean popular music s digital music industry.
