The sleep behavior and frequency of sleep disroders were studied in one hundred four children. They were divided into young and old child group, and normal control and patient group who visited child psychiatry. Most of children had bedtime routines and 48 % of them had association with falling asleep. The children who needed mothers in falling asleep was 24%,47.1% of children usually sleep with their parents. Snorring occured in 27.8% and nocturnal enuresis occured in 18.6 %. 14.5% of control group and 21.2% of child psychiatric group showed sleep terror. Sleep walking was reported in 10.6% of only patient group. In the study of dream content of nightmare, 51.2% of chidren had a fantastic and unrealistic dream whereas 36.6% of children had the dream related with interpersonal conflicts. Only nocturnal enuresis showed a significant difference between age groups. No statistical difference between control and patients was found in any sleep disorder except somnambulism.
