This case study illustrates what the manifestations of dissociative identity disorder(DID) is and how DID symptomatology emerged and was identified during a course of dynamic psychotherapy combined with hypnotic technique in a 21-year-old male college student. Considering the history and presenting symptoms of the subject with dissociative identities, the authors discuss the clinical implications of DID and the impact of the understanding about DID on the practice in the modem psychiatry.
