The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between percentage of circulating N K cell and personality characteristics in neurotic patients. The subjects of this study were 42 neurotic patients, who admitted to neuropsychiatric departments of Chung Ang University Phil-dong and Yong-san Hospital from September, 1994 to January 1995, and 36 healthy normal controls. The personality characteristics of the subjects were evaluated by using Self-Rating Anxiety Scale, Self-Rating Depression Scale, Repression Sensitization Scale, and Coping Style Questionnaire, and the percentage of circulating N K cell were assessed by Becton- Dickinson Facs system. The collected data were processed through the SPSS program and analyzed by correlation coe伍cient and oneway ANOV A. The results were as follows. 1) Neurotics reported significantly lower level of percentage of circulating N K cell than healthy normal controls. 2) In both healthy normal control and neurotic group, percentage of circulating N K cell showed significnt differences with variables o f groups and variables of Self-Rating Anxiety Scale. 3) In neurotics, percentage of circulating N K cell showed significnt differences with variables of Repression Sensitization scores and variables o f maladaptive coping scores
