뇌졸중후 우울증에서 병변 부위에 따른 우울증의 정도와 Dexamethasone 억제의 차이
The Differences of Severity of Depression and Dexamethasone Suppression According to Lesional Location in Post-Stroke Depression
This study was conducted to examine the differences o f depression scores and DST according to lesional location o f 44 CVA patients who admitted to Kangdong and Hangang Sacred Heart Hospital from Nov 1993 to Jan 1994. GDS, SDS, HAMD, MMSE-K, HIS and DST were appied to these patients and the results were compared according to lesional location. The total scores o f SDS and H A M D were significantly higher in patients with anterior lesion than those with posterior lesion. Retarded depression and agitated depression among four factors o f H A M D were higher in patients with anterior lesion. But, there was no differences in depression scores between patients with dominant hemispheric lesion and those with nondominant hemispheric lesion or between patients with lesion in right hemisphrere and those with lesion in left hemisphere. There was no significant differences o f dexamethaxone suppression according to lesional location. The patients with positive DST revealed lower total scores in SDS and H A M D and less severe symptoms o f retarded depression and agitated depression in H A M D than those with negative DST. These findings strongly suggest that anterior lesional location is significantly related with depressive symptoms in stroke patients
