초등학교 4학년 아동의 성별 자기조절학습의 유형화 및 유형의 특성 분석

A Typology of Self-Regulated Learning and the Analysis of its Characteristics according to the Gender of Fourth-Grade Elementary School Children

본 연구는 한국아동․청소년패널조사 1차년도(2010년) 초등학교 4학년 패널의 자료를 사용하 여 아동의 성별로 자기조절학습 유형을 탐색하고, 각 유형에 대한 자기조절학습과 관련된 개 인․가정환경․학교환경 변인의 영향 분석을 통해 유형의 특성을 분석하는 데 목적을 두었 다. 분석대상 아동은 남아 1029명과 여아 943명이었고, 패널 데이터의 분석을 위해 군집분석, 중다회귀분석을 하였다. 연구한 결과, 남아와 여아에서 4개 자기조절학습 하위요인의 수준이 높은 자기조절형과 낮은 자기조절형이 공통으로 발견되었고, 남아의 경우 평균미만 자기조절 형, 여아의 경우 평균적 자기조절형이 추가로 나타났다. 남아와 여아의 자기조절학습 유형 모 두는 학교생활적응에 영향을 받으며, 남아에서 자아탄력성, 여아에서는 부모양육태도가 추가 로 영향을 미치는 변인으로 밝혀졌다. 그러나 가족의 지위와 학교생활 중 친구관계는 남녀 아동 모두의 유형에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 이상과 같은 결과로써 자 기조절학습 향상을 위한 시사점을 제공하였다.

This study aimed to investigate the types of self-regulated learning and to analyze their characteristics according to the gender of fourth-grade elementary school children. For this purpose, 1,029 boys and 943 girls from the first-year data of fourth graders’ panel of the Korean Child and Youth Panel Survey (KCYPS, 2010) were selected. K-means cluster analysis and multiple regressions were used for statistical analysis for each gender data. The results of the study are as follows. Both boys and girls were found to have three self-regulated learning types. Two common types were “high” and “low” self-regulated types based on each mean of self-regulated learning subdimensions. Further there was a “below average” type in boys and an “average” type in girls. School adjustment in all types of boys and girls was the main variable influencing self-regulated learning. Ego-resilience in boys, and parental child-rearing attitudes in girls was another explaining variable of self-regulated learning for each gender. However family status and friendship variables did not have any significant effect on all types of boys and girls. Based on the results of this study, educational guidance for improving self-regulated learning was suggested.
