Rehabilitation and Ego Identity Formation of Chronic Schizophrenics

The authors compared the sub scale scores of ego identity scale between chronic schizophrenicsCN^??) and control group(N=51) in order to investigate ego development of chronic schizophrenics who participated rehabilitative treatment The results were as follows : 1) The rehabilitation group had higher score in the sense of self subscale of ego identity scale than control group. 2) According to sex difference, male group had higher score in the sense of self and self acceptance subscale of ego identity scale than female group. 3) According to sex difference within rehabilitation group, male reabilitation group had higher score in the self acceptance subscale of ego identity scale than female rehabilitation group, but in the interpersonal role expectation subscale the results were reversed
