The Preliminary Study for Measuring Problem- Solving Ability of Schizophrenics

In order to measure problem-solving ablity in Schizophrenics, the authors administered means-ends problem solving procedure to schizophrenic patients admited to Seoul National M ental Hospital, Seoul. As Com pared with Norm al Control and Alcohol or Subatance Abusers, the results were as follows : 1) In total num bers of relevant means, the schizophrenic patients were significantly different from control groups. 2) In relevant ratio, the schizophrenic patients were significantly different from control groups. These results may reflect poor problem-solving ability in actual life situations of schizophrenic patients.
