The Clinical Effects and Serum Concentrations of Sulpiride in Positive and Negative Symptom Schizophrenics

It has been suggested that positive and negative symptom schizophrenia have different pathophysiology and cause. The authors administered fixed dosage of sulpiride, an atypical antipsychotics, to schizophrenic patients (DSM-III-R) as scheduled for the duration of 6 weeks. Every 2 weeks the psychotic symptoms were rated with Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS).
