급성 조증 환자에서 Lithium과 Carbamazepine 병합투여가 혈액소견 ，간기능 ，갑상선 기능에 미치는 영향

The Effect of Lithium-Carbamazepine Combined Therapy on Hematology, Hepatic and Thyroid Funtion in Acute Manic Patients

The purpose of this study was to examine the stability of lithium-carbamazepine com bined therapy. The subjects were manic patients who had admitted at Korea University Hospital from March 1991 to September 1991. The clinical manifestration of manic patients was evaluated during lithium therapy. Carbamazepine was added if there was no improvement. The authors investigated the changes of hematological findings, liver and thyroid functions in 15 acute manic patients between 4 weeks，lith ium therapy and 4 weeks，lithium-carbamazepine combined therapy. Summery o f results were as follows ; 1) In hematological findings, R B C , Hgb, and Hct were all within normal range before and after carbamazepine combined theray. N um b er and differential count of leukocyte showed no significant change. Platelet showed same finding. So the hematologic finding was stable. 2) In liver enzyme changes, AST decreased while ALT, ALP , GGT increased after carbamazepine combined therapy. Among them ALP was changed significantly, so the follow-up of L FT was recommended. 3) Among the thyroid indices, TSH showed no significant change but T3 and T4 showed significant decrease after carbamazepine com bination therapy. So the follow-up of TFT was recommended.
