한반도 출토 筒形銅器의 제작지와 부장배경

The Production Place of Tube-shaped Bronzewares from the Korean Peninsula and the Background of their Deposition as Grave Goods

본고는 한반도에서 출토된 통형동기의 제작지와 그 부장배경에 대해 검토한 것이다. 우선 통형동기의 출토상황을 분석하여 통형동기가 어떤 기물과 대응하는지를 정리했다. 그리고 대응기물 중에서도 특히 일본열도의 자료와 비교가능한 槍에 주목했다. 통형동기가 수반되는 槍의 柄을 관찰한 결과 일본열도의 고분에서 출토된 槍과 구조나 제작기술이 공통되어, 생산에 있어서의 공통된 배경을 상정할 수 있다. 槍의 출토 수나 분포상황을 비교하면, 한반도에서 생산되었다고 상정하기는 어렵 고, 일본열도에서 반입된 것으로 생각할 수 있다. 그러한 분석과 함께 한반도에서 출토된 통형동기의 형태, 접속방법, 제작기술, 내부에 있는 舌(설)의 종류에 대한 분석을 더해, 포괄적으로 통형동기를 재검토하였다. 그 결과 통형동기 혹은 그것이 부속된 槍의 제작지는 일본열도라는 결론에 이르렀다. 그리고 통형동기를 부장한 고분의 계층성 등을 검토하여 통형동기에는 寶器的 혹은 威信財的 기능이 기본적으로 갖춰졌다고 생각했다. 또 한반도에서의 분포상황이나 倭系遺物과의 관계를 정리한 결과 통형동기의 유통에 있어서의 교섭주체자로서 일본열도의 倭王權을 상정할 수 있다. 한반도의 통형동기는 倭王權과의 교섭의 결과 입수되었고, 크게 보면 倭王權과의 유대를 상징하는 기물로 인식되어 부장에 이르렀다고 판단할 수 있다.

Firstly, the discovery context of them was analysed in order to consider what kind of instrument they may have been. Attention was paid to the spear, as well as artifacts discovered in the Japanese Archipelago. As a result of having observed the pikestaff of spears which accompanied the tube-shaped bronzewares, it was possible to confirm that their structure and production technology were similar in nature to that of the spears excavated in the Japanese Archipelago. Therefore, a common background of production can be assumed. As it is unlikely, based on their number and distribution, the spears produced in the Korean Peninsula, it can be suggested that they came from the Japanese Archipelago. In addition the Korean tube-shaped bronzewares were comprehensively reexamined in terms of connection method, production technology, and tongue type. As a result, it was possible to put forth the Japanese Archipelago as the place of their production. The hierarchical characteristics of the ancient tombs that yielded such tube-shaped bronzewares was also examined and it was concluded that this type of artifact functioned as a treasured vessel or prestige material. having examined the distribution of Japanese artifacts in the Korean Peninsula and their relationship with the tube-shaped bronzewares, it can be assumed that a Japanese sovereignty, which also acted as a negotiator, played a role in the circulation of these bronzewares. Therefore, the tube-shaped bronzewares of the Korean Peninsula may be seen to have been obtained as a result of negotiations with the Japanese sovereignty and may be recognized as instruments that were used as grave goods as they symbolized bonds with this Japanese sovereignty.
