Studies on the M M P I of Koreans “Part 2, An Anxiety Index and an Internalization Ratio,, Ghung-Kyoon Lee, M.D. (Dept, of N-P,med. college, S.N.U.) Studies on the Anxiety Index and the Internalization Ratio for the M M P I were conducted on normal and patients of SUN hospital. The following results were obtained ： 1. The Anxiety Index and the Internalization Ratio of normal Koreans were higher than Americans, but there were similarities in the order of each disease. 2. The Anxiety Index and the Internalization Ratio of normal Koreans were lower than the Japanese. 3. The Anxiety Index and the Internalization Ratio of Koreans were as follows: group number A l IR Anxiety Reaction 10 102.47 1.25 Psychoneuroses 12 93.48 1.19 Addiction 6 86.90 1.08 Personality Disorder 10 85.10 1.10 Psychoses 100 82.30 1.12 Conversion 10 81.30 0.94 Normal 285 78.96 1.05 Presummably, in the Koreans there are tendency to internalize under the stress compared with Americans.
