Lithium을 장기적으로 복용한 후 갑상선기능항진증의 검사소견을 보이는 증례 1례

A Case Showing Hyperthyroidism during Long Term Lithium Carbonate Therapy

저자들은 lithium 사용 후 goiter와 갑상선기능저하증은 치료 경험상 간혹 접하나 갑상선기능항진증의 예 는 처음 접하였기에 문헌 고찰과 함께 보고하였다. 정신과 영역에서 lithium의 사용은 매우 빈번하며 그 부 작용은 비교적 자세하게 소개되어 있는 편이나 갑상선기능항진증을 일으키는 부작용에 대해서는 매우 드물 게 소개되어 있다. 이 예에서는 갑상선기능선항진증이 장기간의 lithium 사용 후에 가역적으로 발생하고 lithium 사용 중지 후에는 정상치로 돌아옴을 보여주고 있다.

The authors report one case of hyperthyroidism that occurred in a 56-year-old woman with bipolar disorder after 3 years of chronic lithium treatment. The high level in thyroid fuction test returned to normal after discontinuation of lithium. This case is shows that lithium-induced hyperthyroidism can be reversible
