융합연구자의 긍부정경험이 융합연구에 대한 재시도의향, 만족도, 지속의향, 추천의향에 미치는 영향력에 관한 연구

The Influence of the Positive and Negative Experiences of the Convergent Researchers on the Retry Intention, Satisfaction, Continuing Intention, and Recommendation Intention of Convergent Research

사회가 고도로 발달함에 따라 단일 전공에 의존해서는 해결하기 어려운 사회현상들이 발생하기 시작하였다. 이를 해결하기 위해 예술학, 인문사회학, 자연과학, 공학, 체육학, 의약학, 농수해양학 등 다양한 전공의 연구자들이 자연스럽게 협력하게 되었다. 하지만 학제간 융합연구에 대한 필요성은 각계 각층에서 제기되어 왔으나 체계적으로 연구들을 관리하고 지원할 수 있는 체계가 없어서 사회적 필요성에 비해서 학제간 융합연구가 활성화되지 못한 것이 현실이다. 2009년부터 한국연구재단은 학제 간 융합연구지원이라는 사업을 통해 인문사회과학의 상상력과 통찰력, 예술적 창조성, 그리고 과학적 합리성 등을 함께 추구하는 연구를 지원하고 있다. 본 연구는 2009년부터 2016년까지 1회 이상 한국연구재단이 지원하는 학제간 융합연구지원과제를 수행한 경험이 있는 연구자들을 대상으로 그들이 겪은 긍정경험 12가지 및 부정경험 12가지에 대해 조사하고, 이들 긍부정 경험들이 영향을 미치는 융합연구에 대한 연구자들의 5가지 태도에 대해 분석하였다. 연구자들이 꼽은 융합연구의 주된 장점은 다양한 관점을 지닌 연구진들과 친분을 맺을 수 있다는 점과 타전공인 연구원들과 서로 소통하고 이해하는 정도가 향상되었다는 점이라고 나타났다. 반면 융합연구 수행의 주된 어려움으로는 연구책임자의 부담이 크다는 점과 특허 등과 같은 결과물로 산업적인 성과가 나와야 한다는 압박감이 크다는 점이 꼽혔다.

As society developed, it became difficult to solve various social phenomena by relying on only a single major. In order to solve this problem, researchers from various fields such as arts, humanities and sociology, natural sciences, engineering, physical education, medicine, agricultural and marine science have naturally cooperated. However, the necessity of interdisciplinary convergent research has been raised at various fields, but there has been few system that can systematically manage and support the researches. Since 2009, National Research Foundation of Korea(NRF) supports researches that pursue the imagination and insight of humanities and social sciences, artistic creativity, and scientific rationality through a project called ‘Interdisciplinary Convergent Research Support Project.’ This study was conducted to investigate 12 positive and 12 negative experiences of researchers who had experience of performing interdisciplinary convergent research support projects supported by NRF more than once from 2009 to 2016. In addition, the influence of these positive/negative experiences on researchers five attitudes were analyzed. The main advantages of the convergent researches that the researchers pointed out are that they can get acquainted with researchers having diverse perspectives and that they have improved communication and understanding with other researchers. On the other hand, the major difficulties in carrying out the convergent researches are that the research directors are burdened with a great deal of pressure and that they had pressure to generate industrial performances such as patents.
