Design and implementation of an order management system using NFC technique

지난 수년간 컴퓨터와 IT 기술의 발달은 다양한 분야에서 업무 처리 절차를 개선하여 효율성을 높이는데 기여하고 있다. 특히, 대다수 사람들이 활용하고 있는 스마트폰의 다양한 통신 기능 및 센싱기능 등을 활용하여 생활 속 편의성를 제고하는 다양한 시스템들이 지속적으로 연구 및 제안되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 스마트폰에 내재된 NFC 기능을 이용하여 주변에서 흔히 접할 수 있는 소매형 매장에서 활용될 수 있는 메뉴 주문 및 관리 시스템을 제안한다. 제안되는 시스템에서는 각 매장의 메뉴 정보 제공, 주문 접수 및 메뉴 제공 관리 등의 서비스를 스마트폰을 매개로 효과적으로 처리할 수 있도록 지원한다. 특히, 메뉴 정보 제공 및 주문 접수 등에 있어서 NFC 기능을 활용함으로써 불필요한 노동을 줄일 수 있도록 지원한다. 또한, 주문 내역들을 하나의 데이터베이스로 관리함으로써 메뉴별 판매현황 분석 등을 지원한다. 이러한 기능들을 통해 자영업자 등이 운영하는 소매형 매장의 경쟁력 제고에도 기여할 수 있을 것이다.

In the past few years, the advancement of computer and IT technologies have contributed to the improving business efficiency in various work processing. In particular, many systems using functions of communicating and sensing in smart-phones have been proposed actively. In this paper, an order management system for restaurants and retailing stores is proposed, which uses NFC technique in smart-phones. In the proposed system in this paper, functions for showing menus, taking order of customers, and serving items are efficiently processed by an application in a smart-phone, which is based on NFC technique. It can help to reduce labor force in showing menus and taking order of customers. In addition, sales analysis can be easily obtained by managing menus and ordering information in a database. By the mechanism, the proposed system may help to improve of competitive power of a small stores by owner-operators.
