BDI-II 기반의 간편 우울 척도 개발

Development of Simple Depression Scale based on BDI-II

우울에 대한 자기평가형 척도로 가장 널리 쓰이고 있는 Beck 우울 척도(이하 BDI-II)는 여러 문장을 읽고 각 문장의 차이를 피평가자가 판단해야 하는 불편함이 있기 때문에 상담과 임상 실무에서 간편하게 사용할 수 있는 도구로서 단순형 Beck 우울 척도(이하 SBDI)를 개발하였다. 본 연구에서는 SBDI를 우울척도로 실제 사용할 수 있는지 평가하기 위해 대전지역 청소년 248명을 대상으로 신뢰도와 타당도를 분석하였다. 반분신뢰도의 분석 결과 r=.821로 나타났고, Cronbach’s α는 r=.948로 나타나 BDI-II와 유사한 수준의 신뢰도가 확인되었다(p<.01). 준거타당도를 평가하기 위해 BDI-II와의 대응 항목간 상관분석을 실시하였는데, 총점 기준으로는 r=.870으로 나타났고, 개별 문항별로는 .375~.778로 나타나 모든 항목에서 상관관계가 있음이 확인되었다. 일부 낮은 상관관계를 가진 항목에 대해서는 추가 연구를 통해 보완할 필요가 있다. 본 연구를 통해 총 90개의 문장으로 만들어진 BDI-II와 동등 한 수준의 신뢰도와 타당도를 가지면서도 총 21개의 문장만으로 작성된 SBDI를 개발하여 상담현장의 실무자들이 짧은 시간동안 간단히 우울을 진단할 수 있도록 도구를 제공할 수 있게 되었다.

The Beck Depression Inventory (BDI-II), which is most widely used as a self-assessment scale for depression, is inconvenience that require client to judge the difference between each sentence by reading several sentences. We developed the simple Beck Depression Indicator (SBDI) as a tool that can be easily used in counseling and clinic practice. In this study, we analyzed the responses of 248 juveniles in Daejeon area and evaluate the reliability and validity of SBDI in order to assess whether the scale can be used as a depression scale. Split-half reliability was r = .821 and Cronbach s α was r = .948, which was similar to that of BDI-II (p <.01). In order to evaluate the validity of the criterion, we conducted a correlation analysis between the items of BDI-II and the items of r = .870 on the basis of total score and .375 ~ .778 on individual items.Some items with low correlations need to be supplemented by further research. We developed the SBDI, which has the same level of reliability and validity as the BDI-II composed of 90 sentences, but has only 21 sentences, so that the practitioners in the counseling field can easily diagnose the depression.
