The purpose of implantation is to replace the function of the lost natural teeth with the artificial teeth. Implantation procedure consists of surgical technique which implants the fixtures and connects abutments and prosthetic technique making adequate superstructures. The fixtures support the superstructure and the superstructure transmits occlusal load to the fixtures through the abutments. After all, the superstructure and the fixtures are unified unit. To protect and make longer use of the fixtures, adequately designed superstructure should be considered in the implant prosthesis. Precise adaptation between components and even distribution of occlusal loads are important factors in the design of the superstructure. This paper is purposed to report the procedure of making adequate superstructure on the successfully osseointegrated fixtures reviewing remarkably important points in the clinical and laboratory steps, bone anchored fixed bridge in the mandible and implant supported bar overdenture in the maxillae.
