Purpose: This study was conducted to identify the effects of Department Adaptation Program for nursing students. Methods: This study was pre-experimental research designed to compare the differences between one group pre and posttest. The subjects were 90 nursing freshmen and sophomore in K university. The data collection was carried out from August 31 to December 23, 2016. The data were analyzed with the descriptive statistics and paired t-test using SPSS 21.0. Results: There were no statistically significant differences among the Career Identity, Campus Adaptation, Self-Leadership and Spiritual Well-being, but in some of the subcategories score were increased. Conclusion: The study is limited in that a period of treatment was relatively short, one semester. However, considering the rising tendency of the scores, the program is anticipated to produce beneficial effects when implemented over a longer period of time.
