加耶·新羅 初期馬具의 성격과 의미 - 騎乘用재갈을 소재로 -

The character and significance of the early harness of Gaya and Silla

나는 오래 전에 加耶初期馬具의 원류는 夫餘에 있다는 의견을 제시하였다. 그런데 그 후 가야초기마구의 원류를 부여에만 한정할 수 없고, 부여를 포함한 중국 동북지방의 鮮卑系馬具에 기원이 있다는 견해, 三燕과 고구려 마구로부터 동시에 영향을 받았다는 시각, 가야의 초기마구는 前燕, 신라의 그것은 고구려 계보라는 의견 등 다양한 논의들이 있었다. 그래서 다시 김해 대성동, 동래 복천동, 경주 황성동 출토의 초기마구들을 상세히 분석검토한 결과 선비계마구 出現前에 夫餘系馬具가 존재하였음을 확인하였다. 이 사실은 3세기말 갑자기 낙동강하류역에 대폭 반영되는 북방계문화가 부여에서 유입하였음을 증명하는 유력한 근거가 된다. 부여계마구의 유입 후, 얼마 안 있어 전연과의 교류에 의해 전연의 마구가 대폭 반영되는데, 그 중심 역할을 대성동고분군이 담당하였음을 밝혔다. 가야와 전연의 교류는 4세기 중엽 백제의 浮上에 의한 백제의 해상권 장악으로, 가야와 前燕 간의 해상로가 차단된 탓에 일시적인 것으로 그쳤다. 이 때문에 가야초기의 마구는 부여계마구에 선비계마구가 절충되어 가야 특유의 마구로 발전해 갔다. 한편 신라지역은 낙동강하류역의 영향에 의해 늦게 이러한 기승용마구가 나타나는데, 이는 이 무렵의 가야와 신라의 실상을 반영하는 것이 분명하다.

I previously proposed that the early harness of the Gaya originated from Buyeo. However, since then various opinions were proposed: the opinion that the origin can not be limited to Buyoe, it originated from the Sunbi series harness include Buyeo, the opinion that it was influenced by Samyeon and Goguryeo at the same time, the opion that the early harness of Gaya was influenced from Samyeon and that of Silla originated from Goguryeo. Through the detailed analysis of the early harness excavated from Daesungdong, Kimhae, Bokcheondong, Dongnae and Hwangsungdong, Gyeongju, I confirmed that the Buyoe series harness already existed before the Sunbi series harness appeared. It is the convincing evidence to prove that the northern culture appreared suddenly in the downstream area of Nakdong river at the end of the 3rd century was brought from Buyeo. After the inflow of the Buyoe harness, the early Yeon harness appeared soon by the exchange with early Yeon. The group of Daesungdong Tombs did take a central role. The exchange between Gaya and early Yan was temporary because the sea road was cut off as Baekjae ruled the sea in the middle of the 4th century, so the characteristic Gaya harness was developed by compromising between Buyeo series harness and the Sunbi series harness. Meanwhile, the harness for riding appeared late in Silla area under the influence of the downstream area of Nakdong river. It certainly reflects the real aspect of Gaya and Silla at that time.
