대학박물관의 지역아동 연계 문화예술교육 활성화방안 연구 -고려대학교박물관의 사례를 중심으로-

A Study on Community-based Art Education of the University Museum Focused on the Case of Korea University Museum

과거의 대학박물관은 이용자가 대학 내의 연구자와 학생 등으로 한정되어 있었지만, 최근에는 많은 대학박물관들이 지역주민들에게 시설을 개방하고 서비스를 확대해 나아가고 있다. 학술적이고 전문적인 내용으로 일반인들에게는 다소 어려웠던 전시들도 점차 다양하고 대중적인 내용으로 바뀌고 있으며, 다채로운 사회교육 프로그램을 통해 지역주민들과 박물관 사이의 문턱이 낮아지고 있다. 대학박물관은 도심에 있는 국공립 박물관보다 지역사회와 인접한 곳에 위치해 있기 때문에, 지역사회와 연계하여 사회교육 프로그램을 운영하기에 유리한 조건을 가지고 있다. 따라서 대학 내의 연구소나 관력학과의 전문가들과 협력하고 지역사회의 문화예술 전문가나 교육전문가와 파트너십을 형성한다면, 교육대상에 따라 전문화된 교육프로그램을 개발하여 지역주민들에게 다양한 서비스를 제공할 수 있다. 박물관에서 이루어지는 교육은 소장품을 중심으로 역사와 문화를 이해하고, 미적 감수성과 창의력을 키우는 것을 지향한다는 점에서 분절된 교과목과 예술장르를 교차시키고 통합하는 문화예술교육의 성격을 띤다. 최근 국가의 중요한 문화정책으로 대두된 문화예술교육은 문화민주주의ㆍ창의성 향상ㆍ사회통합을 이루는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다. 따라서 대학박물관이 아동복지시설이나 초등학교와 연계하여 시행하는 어린이 교육프로그램은 위의 세 가지를 실현하는 데 매우 효과적인 문화예술교육이라고 할 수 있다. 대학박물관이 부족한 재정 여건을 극복하고 이러한 교육프로그램을 발전적으로 운영하기 위해서는 몇 가지 조건이 필요하다. 첫째, 박물관 교육의 안정적 운영을 위해 교육청 및 지방자치단체와의 협력을 통해 행정적 지원을 이끌어내야 한다. 둘째, 박물관과 대학 내의 관련학과 및 연구소와의 파트너십을 통해 전문성을 강화해야 한다. 셋째, 지역 문화예술단체 및 사회단체와의 협력ㆍ지역단위 대학박물관들의 협력을 통해 경험 및 정보를 공유해야 한다.

In the past the users of university museums were limited to students and professors in the university. However the services and facilities of university museum have been expanded and opened to local residents recently. The contents of exhibitions also have been transformed from academic and professional to various and popular. And the museum has gotten closer to community through running various social education programs. University museums have advantages in running social education program linked with community compared to national museum in downtown since they are neighboring community. They are also able to provide the services specialized according to the subjects if they cooperate with the research institutes or professionals regarding departments in the university and make a partnership with professionals in culture and art or in education in community. The education in museum has the characters of arts and culture education since it makes people understand history and culture and aims to develop aesthetic sensibility and creativity. Recently Arts and Culture Education which has been on the rise as the important cultural policy of the nation aims to make social integration, cultural democracy and creativity improvement. Therefore children education programs which are run by university museums linked with community children center or elementary schools are very effective arts and culture education to realize the above 3 value. They need some conditions to overcome poor finance status and to manage the programs progressively. First, they have to draw the administrative supports in order to manage the education programs stably through the cooperation with education offices and local governments. Second, they have to enforce the specialty to make a partnership with research centers and regarding departments in the university. Third, they have to share the experiences and information to cooperate with local organization of arts and culture, social organization and regional university museums.
