초보미술치료사의 직업적 어려움에 대한 체험연구 - 석사학위취득 후 임상 첫 해의 경험을 중심으로

A Lived Experience Study on the Difficulties of a Novice Art Therapist in Practice - On the First Year Experience in Practice After the Master’s Degree

본 연구는 석사학위취득 후 임상 첫 해를 경험하는 초보 미술치료사가 미술치료 임상현장에서 직업인으로 어떤 어려움을 체험하는지에 대한 현상을 탐색하고 그 본질과 의미를 밝혀 그들의 경험을 이해하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 미술치료전공으로 학위를 취득하고 다양한 임상기관에서 일하고 있는 경력 1년 미만의 미술치 료사 7명을 대상으로 심층면담을 통하여 질적 자료를 수집하였다. Max van Manen의 해석학적 현상학적 방법 을 시도하여 총 9개의 본질적 주제와 24개의 하위주제를 도출하였다. 임상 첫 해를 보내고 있는 초보 미술치료 사들은 임상현장에서 미술치료사로서의 전문성에 대한 고민과 직업인으로서의 근무조건에 대한 고민이 동시에 이루어져서 그들이 경험하는 어려움이 커진다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구에서는 실습생이 아닌 직업인으로 첫 발을 내디디는 초보 미술치료사들이 겪는 어려움을 통해 현장에 대한 이해도를 높여 초보 미술치료사가 직 업인으로 안착하기 위한 방안을 모색했다는 것에 의의를 가진다.

The purpose of this study is to explore the phenomenon of novice art therapists experiencing difficulties as professionals in art therapy practice and to understand the essence and meaning of their experiences. For this purpose, seven art therapists with master s degree in art therapy and worked in various clinical institutes participated in the in - depth interviews. Max van Manen s hermeneutic phenomenological methods were tried to derive a total of 9 essential topics and 24 sub - topics. Novice art therapists are concerned about their ability and development as a professional art therapist while feeling burdensome and disappointed from the poor working conditions and external supports. In the field of practical studies such as art therapy, the voice of the field is very important, so this study aims to improve the understanding of the practice through the difficulties of the novice art therapists.
