장애인복지시설 서비스 환경과 긍정적 돌봄의 관계

The effects of support environment in service agencies on the challenging behavior support for people with developmental disabilities

이 연구는 발달장애인의 도전적 행동에 대한 장애인복지시설의 서비스 환경과 종사자의 긍정적 돌봄의 관계를 살펴보고자 한 것이다. 이를 위해 경기도 장애인 복지시설 종사자들을 대상으로 조사하였고, 다중회귀분석을 통해 그 상대적 영향력을 분석하였다. 연구결과, 장애인복지시설 종사자들의 긍정적 돌봄 실태는 3점(4점 만점)으로 나타났다. 또한 서비스 환경은 각 하위요인별로 살펴보면, 물리적 환경 2.99점(4점 만점), 대인간 환경 3.01점(4점 만점), 프로그램 환경 2.57점(4점 만점)으로 나타나서 프로그램 환경에 대한 종사자의 인식이 상대적으로 낮음을 알 수 있었다. 긍정적 돌봄에 대한 서비스 환경의 영향은 모든 하위요인에서 통계적으로 유의미한 결과로 나타났으며, 특히 이용자와의 의사소통 및 관계로 구성된 대인적 환경의 영향이 가장 큰 것으로 나타났다. 이를 기초로, 이 연구는 장애인복지시설 종사자들의 긍정적 돌봄을 향상시킬 수 있는 서비스 환경의 중요성을 확인하고 강조하고 있으며, 장애인복지에서의 함의를 논의하고 있다.

The study aimed to investigate the effects of support environment in agencies for people with developmental disabilities who display challenging behavior on the positive care by service workers. For this purpose, the survey was administered to service workers in agencies for people with developmental disabilities and multiple regression analysis in SPSS 23.0 version was used to analyze 260 responses. The results showed that the care for people with developmental disabilities who display challenging behavior in service agencies was rated positively, receiving 3 points on a 4-point scale. Moreover, the results revealed significant effects of support environment on positive care. Among the sub-variables of support environment, the effects of interpersonal environment were greatest and those of physical environment were smallest. The findings suggest that the design of support environment is important for improving positive care. The supporting policies for environmental intervention in practice are discussed.
