수공예 프로그램이 조현병 환자의 정신건강에 미치는 영향

The Effects of the craft program on mental health of patients with schizophrenia

목적 : 본 연구는 수공예 프로그램이 조현병 환자의 정신건강과 기능에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위한 것이다. 연구방법 : 연구는 DSM-IV-TR에 의해 조현병으로 진단받은 대상자 한명을 대상으로 7주 동안 수공예 프로그램에 참여하게 하였다. 2012년 2월부터 4월 사이에 자료수집을 하였고, 정신건강과 기능을 측정하기위해 건강성과척도(HoNOS)와 일상생활기술 설문지(LSP-16)를 사용하였다. 결과 : 결과는 사전사후 검사로 이루어 졌으며, 수공예 프로그램을 통해 정신건강과 기능 점수에 미세한 변화가 나타났다. 결론 : 본 연구의 결과는 수공예 프로그램이 조현병 환자의 정신건강과 기능에 긍정적인 가능성을 나타내는 것을 알 수 있다. 앞으로는 조현병 환자에게 다양한 작업치료 프로그램이 필요하고 더 많은 수공예 프로그램을 제공할 수 있도록 많은 연구가 필요할 것이다.

Objective : The purpose of the study was to investigate the effect of craft program on mental health and function of patients with schizophrenia. Methods : In this research, a schizophrenia patient was selected on the basis of diagnostic criteria DSM-IV. The patient was involved in the craft program once a week for seven weeks. The data were collected between February and April 2012. Health of Nation Outcome Scale(HoNOS) and the abbreviated Life Skills Profile-16(LSP-16) were used to test the mental health and function. Results : This study showed the small change to the mental health and function score through the craft program. Conclusion : This case shows that the craft program may have positive effect on the mental health and function of persons with schizophrenia. In the future, there is a need for deeper research in diverse occupational therapy and more craft program that could be used to persons with schizophrenia.
