청각장애인의 평생학습에 대한 의미 탐색

Searching for the Meaning of Life-long Education of Hearing Impaired Person

이 연구는 청각장애인의 학령기 이후 평생학습에 대한 의미를 탐색해보고자 수행하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 청각장애인의 학령기 이후 평생학습 참여에 대해 A교사와 B교사, C교사 모두 청각장애인들의 학령기 이후 평생학습이 필요하나 참여의 어려운 점이 존재한다고 인식하고 있었다. 둘째, 청각장애인의 학령기 이후 평생학습 운영(기관 및 기간)에 대해 A교사와 B교사, 그리고 C교사 모두 각 지역 농아인 협회 등 청각장애에 대한 이해가 있는 기관에서 청각장애인의 평생학습을 주관하는 것이 가장 적절하며 운영 기간에 있어서는 인식 차이를 나타내고 있었다. 장애인들의 학령기 이후 지속적인 학습이 필요하며 그들의 참여를 위해 농아인협회 등 청각장애인의 특성을 잘 파악하고 있는 기관에서 체계적인 교육과정 및 학습 자료를 제공하여야 하며 평생학습의 효율성과 참여 증대를 위해 전문 인력 배치 및 평생학습 시설 및 운영비의 지속적인 지원이 필요할 것으로 인식된다.

This study was performed to find out the Activation Strategy on Life-long Education of Hearing Impaired Person, the data were collected through the interview based on the semi-structured questionnaire from 2 teachers in the school for hearing impaired. The results are as follows. First, for the participation of the hearing impaired in the lifelong learning after school age, both teacher A and teacher B recognized that the lifelong learning is necessary for the hearing impaired after school age. Second, regarding the operation (institution and period) of lifelong learning after school age of hearing impaired, both teacher A and teacher B recognized that managing the lifelong leaning after school age by each regional association of deaf is appropriate the most. Regarding the period of managing the lifelong learning, teacher A and teacher B showed the slight difference in their cognition. Third, regarding the lifelong learning support after school age of hearing impaired, teacher A and B recognized that the assignment of professional manpower and supporting the operating expenses are the most important problem. In addition, they both recognized the needs of the support for the facilities and education course of the lifelong learning and the textbook. The continuous learning is required after the school age of hearing impaired, and for their participation, the institution that identifies the characteristics of hearing impaired should provide the systematic education course and the learning materials, and it is deemed to be necessary that to increase the efficiency of lifelong learning and the participation, the assignment of professional manpower and the continuous support for the lifelong learning facilities and the operating expenses are required.
