다문화가정 자녀가 인식하는 심리적 배제와 위축행동과의 관계 : 이중정체성의 매개효과를 중심으로

Social Rejection and Withdrawal Behaviors Experienced by Children in Multicultural Families : The Mediating Role of Dual Identity

본 연구는 다문화가정 자녀의 심리적 배제감이 위축행동에 미치는 영향과 심리적 배제감과 위축행동의 관계에서 이중정체감의 매개효과를 분석하는 연구이다. 본 연구에는 강원도 원주시에 거주하는 다문화가정 자녀 242명이 참여하였으며, 구조화된 설문지를 통한 자료수집이 이루어졌다. 연구결과에 의하면, 다문화가정 자녀가 지각하는 심리적 배제감의 수준이 높을수록 이들의 위축행동 수준은 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 심리적 배제감이 높을수록 이중정체성은 낮아지는 것으로 나타났다. 특히, 다문화가정 자녀의 이중정체성 중 이중문화정체성은 심리적 배제감과 위축행동의 관계를 부분적으로 매개하지만 이중언어정체성은 매개효과가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 다문화가정 자녀에 대한 심리적 배제를 감소하고, 이중정체성을 강화하기 위한 정책적, 실천적 방안이 논의되었다.

This study examined the associations between social rejection and withdrawal behaviors experienced by children in multicultural families, with particular attention to investigating whether dual identity medicates the associates. 242 children in multicultural families participated in this study and structured questionnaires were used. This study overall found that the variable of social rejection was directly associated with the variable of withdrawal behaviors. And, this study identified that the variable of social rejection was associated with the variable of dual identity. Further, this study found that the variable of dual identity partially mediated the variables of social rejection and withdrawal behaviors. This study suggests social interventions and practical implications for children in multicultural families based on study results.
