이 연구는 가정환경의 결손이 학업성취도에 미치는 영향을 조사하고 단위학교 책임지도제로 시 행되어온 학습부진아를 구제하기 위한 정책의 효과성을 고찰하는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 목적 달성을 위하여 서울교육종단연구 1차 연도 자료를 사용하여 매개된 조절효과 모델(mediated moderation model)을 구성하여 분석하였다. 연구결과를 보면 우선 가정환경 결손이 학업성취도에 직 접적으로 혹은 수업태도를 매개로 간접적으로 부(-)의 영향을 미치고 있음을 보였다. 가정환경 결손 과 부모의 교육에 대한 아비투스의 상관관계는 그렇게 크지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 부모의 교육에 대한 아비투스는 학생들의 실천적인 요소로서 교실에서 수업태도를 매개로 학업성취도에 정(+)의 영향을 미치고 있음을 보였다. 마지막으로 본 연구에서는 가정환경 결손이 학습태도와 학업성취도 에 미치는 부(-)의 영향이 학습부진아 구제 프로그램 참여 여부에 의해 조절되어 가정환경 결손의 영향이 프로그램에 참여한 아동일 경우에 참여하지 않은 아동과 비교하여 감소하고 있는 것을 보 였다. 이것은 가정환경이 열악한 아동들에게 학교에서 진행하고 있는 학습부진아 구제 프로그램이 가정환경의 부적인 영향을 어느 정도 보상하고 있으며 앞으로 계속적으로 시행할 필요가 있음을 시사한다.
Using data from the Seoul Education Longitudinal Study of 2010. This study investigated the effectiveness of compensatory education programs that had been implemented with school-based accountability, and examined their limitations from Bourdieu's habitus respective. A mediated moderation model was conducted. Compensatory education programs were found to be decrease negative effects of family environment deficit on classroom attitude and academic achievement. This implies that to some extent complementary education programs compensate for the effect of family environment deficit on academic achievement and therefore should continue to be implemented. In addition, findings revealed positive direct effects of parental habitus on academic achievement and indirect effects of parental habitus on academic achievement mediated by its practicing element, i.e., classroom attitude.
