웹 기반 협동학습에 참여한 학습자를 대상으로 동료 학습자와의 상호작용을 예측하는 요인들이 무엇인지 규명하기 위해 본 연구가 수행되었다. 가설검증을 위하여 학습자 통제소재, 동기수준, 컴퓨터에 대한 태도 및 사용능력, 물리적 환경, 교수자의 지원, 연대감 형성을 선행 연구를 바탕으로 독립변인으로 도출하였고 학습자간 상호작용 정도를 종속변인으로 설정하였다. 그리고 연구 목적을 달성하기 위해 웹 기반 협동학습 프로그램을 개발하였으며, 270명의 고등학생을 대상으로 2주 동안의 웹 기반 협동학습을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 웹 기반 협동학습에서 학습자간 상호작용에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 ‘통재소재’,‘동기수준’, ‘컴퓨터에 대한 태도’, ‘컴퓨터 사용능력’, ‘물리적 환경’, ‘교수자의 지원’, ‘학습자 연대감’의 7가지가 도출되었으며, 도출된 7가지 영향 요인 중 ‘연대감 형성’과 ‘교수자의 지원’, ‘물리적 환경’이 학습자간 상호작용에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 본 연구를 통해 도출된 웹 기반 협동학습의 학습자간 상호작용 촉진을 위한 시사점은 다음과 같다. 우선, 학습자간 연대감 형성을 위한 협동학습 설계 전략을 활용해야 할 필요가 있으며, 즉각적이고 적절한 교수자의 지원이 뒷받침되어야 하고, 시스템 불안정과 기술적인 문제 발생 등과 같은 물리적 환경 문제 해결이 우선되어야 할 것이다.
This study attempts to investigate learner to learner interaction factors and the factors' virtual effects on learner to learner interaction with the students who participate in web based collaborative learning. The precedent studies about leaner to learner interaction concept, theories of types and strategies of web based collaborative learning have been considered for this study. Based on these studies, locus of control, motive level, computer skill, attitude with computer, physical environment, support of instructor and form of fellowship were selected as a provisional factors which affect the interaction between learners in web based collaborative learning. 270 second grade students in D high school have been participated in web based collaborative learning for 2weeks. The results of the study indicated that: 1) locus of control, motivation level, computer skill, attitude to computer, physical environment, support of instructor and form of fellowship, these 7 factors are effective interaction factors in web based collaborative learning. 2) In sequence, the form of fellowship, support of instructor and physical environment affect interaction between peer learners. The suggestion of the study could be: 1) Collaborative learning strategy to improve fellowship, immediate and appropriate support of instructor and physical environment under consideration are required to promote interaction between learners in web based collaborative learning. 2) Appropriate compensation is required to promote motivation of learners. Instructor can elevate motivation level as they make up individual evaluation including group evaluation. 3) The different level task which depends on the student's computer skill is required. For instance, the student who is good at computer will get interest and motivation when they get the high level task.
