본 연구의 목적은 Sternberg(1996)가 제시한 성공지능 및 사고양식이 우리나라 교육현장에서 학생들의 학업성취도에 미치는 영향력에 대해 살펴보는 것이다. 지금까지 학업성취도에 대한 성공지능 및 사고양식의 연구들은 두 개념이 분리된 개념으로 연구되어 왔다. 본 연구에서는 선행 연구의 결과에 기초하여, 학업성취도와 관계가 많은 성공지능에서의 분석지능과 창의지능, 사고양식에서는 입법, 위계, 내부 사고양식이 선정되었다. 선정된 성공지능 및 사고양식이 복합적으로 작용하여 학업성취도에 미치는 상대적 영향력에 대해 규명하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 상관분석결과 성공지능 중 분석지능이 학업성취도와 가장 높은 상관을 보였으며(.71～.78), 창의지능도 다소 높은 상관관계를 보였다(.43～.50). 반면, 사고양식과 학업성취도와의 관계에서는 입법과 과학을 제외하고는(.55) 대체로 낮은 상관을 보였다(.22～.29). 또한 분석지능, 창의지능과 사고양식간의 상관도 다소 낮은 상관을 보였다(.25～.32). 둘째, 중다회귀분석의 결과에서도 성공지능에서의 분석지능 및 창의지능이 사고양식에 비해 학업성취도에 대한 상대적 예측력이 높게 나타나 상관분석의 결과를 지지하였다. 따라서 교육현장에서는 학생의 분석적, 창의적 능력과 다양한 차원과 기능의 사고양식에 적합한 교수-학습법의 적용이 학생의 학업성취도를 향상시켜줄 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
The purpose of this study was to examine the relative potency of successful intelligence, and thinking styles to influence the academic performance, based on the Sternberg(1996)'s theory. Up to the present, theses studies have been studied separated concepts. Especially, based on the previous studies, this study was selected analytic and creative intelligence in the successful intelligence, and legislative, hierarchic, and internal thinking style in the thinking styles. The results showed that, firstly, the analytic intelligence was higher relationship(.71～.78) with academic performance than the other variables. The creative intelligence was relationship(.43～.50) with academic performance. The thinking styles were low relationship(.22～.29) with academic performance (except with the relationship legislative thinking styles and science .55). The relationship between the successful intelligence and thinking styles was revealed low(.25～.32). These results was similar to the previous studies. Secondly, the analytic and creative intelligence in the successful intelligence were found to be higher the influence on the academic performance than thinking styles by the multiple regression analysis. The result of correlation analysis was supported by this result. On the basis of this study, the educational implication is drawn that to improve the students' academic performance in the educational field is needed to support the students' analytic and creative intelligence in the successful intelligence and various thinking styles.
